Privacy Policy
How CommuniFit collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

1. Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and neighborhood. You may optionally share your activity interests and fitness level. When you use the platform, we collect RSVP history, favorited hosts and events, and basic usage data such as pages visited and features used.
2. How We Use It
We use your information to show you relevant events in your neighborhood, connect you with hosts and other participants, send you notifications about events you've RSVP'd to, and improve the platform based on how people use it. We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
3. Sharing
We never sell your personal data. When you RSVP to an event, the host may see your name and profile so they can welcome you. We do not share your email address with hosts. We may share anonymized, aggregated data (e.g., "42 people attended yoga events in Riverton this month") to improve the platform or share community stats.
4. RSVP Visibility
When you RSVP to an event, you can choose whether your attendance is public or private. Public means other attendees can see you're going. Private means only the host and CommuniFit admins can see your RSVP. This setting is per-event and can be changed at any time before the event starts.
5. Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days. Some anonymized data (e.g., aggregate event attendance counts) may be retained for platform analytics. Event history associated with your account will be disassociated and anonymized upon deletion.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access all personal data we hold about you, correct any inaccurate information, delete your account and associated data, and export your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@communifit.com.
7. Cookies & Analytics
We use basic analytics to understand how people use CommuniFit — things like which pages are visited most and where users drop off. We do not track you across other websites. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We may use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences.
8. Children's Privacy
CommuniFit is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
